Now in it's third year, Signals celebrates visual arts in Crystal Palace. This year 22 artists will exhibit their work in venues around the historic 'triangle' area.
Artists include Tine Bech (whose breathtaking Purple Membrane installation at Camberwell baths was the hit of the Camberwell Arts Festival), Mike Conrad (known for his local architectural studies and landscapes), and Audhild Dahlstrom (rising star of the international video art circuit recently seen at Glasgow International), as well as other locally and internationally recognised artists - see below for a full list.
The festival includes painting, sculpture, installations, and artist's projects, so expect to be surprised by the diversity of talent that makes up the Palace's vibrant artistic community.
Also featuring this year are the SCHIMATIZO film and video event (Friday 14 October), and a Big Draw community project in Sydenham.
The festival kicks off with a launch party at the Alma Pub (on Church Street) from 7.00pm on Friday 7 October. Expect big screen art and live music.
Getting Here
Overland trains to Crystal Palace or Gipsy Hill (from London Victoria, London Bridge, Croydon etc). Buses 2,3, 63, 122,157, 202, 227, 249, 322, 358, and 410, 432, 450.
