Did you know there are artists in Crystal Palace who exhibit in Moscow, Germany and Spain? That have been selected for New Contemporaries? That have bursaries from the Royal British Society of Sculptors? And that are hailed as 'one to watch' in a review of British Art in Harpers magazine?

20 internationally and locally acclaimed artists show their work in new and unusual venues around the historic Crystal Palace triangle from 2 to 17 October 2004. The event is an opportunity to see work from a wide range of artists all of whom are members of the CP Artists group.

Signals is an open show and features everything from traditional paintings to contemporary sculptures and installations, as well as work made by children and artists at local schools. Artists are given free reign to select a piece from their studio or to make something new.

The venues for Signals include shops, restaurants, cafes, churches, train stations and the new library. Each location will be clearly marked on a map produced specifically for Signals and that is available from Bluebottle bar and other venues throughout the event.

Signals hosts a special afternoon at Bluebottle bar on Sunday 3 October. The afternoon will include screenings of artists' work, the opportunity to meet many of the artists and information about Signals and the CP Artists group.
