The piece consists of 25 numbered images (photographs/video stills), each one juxtaposed with a short text - an extract taken from the trilogy of novels by Czech author Karel Čapek (in English translation by M and R Weatherall). The texts and images are not intended to 'illustrate' each other but rather to run parallel - allowing the viewer to construct their own narrative. The visual material represents two locations I have been calling 'Home': Konice - a small town in Czech Republic, and the area of Crystal Palace in London.
