Artist's Statement
Shadows
The positive shape, a moment caught in time, an instant. The dynamic composition, a central circle with a sunburst radiating out. Sometimes a painting has a particular emphasis. Alluding to the sun, moon, atmosphere, creating movement before the eyes.
Shade can be shelter, cool and safe, where flowers bloom and erupt. Taken from drawings made from shadows, the essence of forms is captured.
